Hi! Thank you for your interest in getting to know me as a person.
I was born in Bangladesh, and spent most of life there. The first time I traveled outside the country was when I came to Vancouver, BC for my undergrad degree in 2007. My love affair with the beautiful west-coast city began at that time. While I thought I left the city for good in 2012 after finishing my masters from UBC, turns out I was going to move here permanently in 2020 to build a life here with my lovely wife, Jihan Sharmin.
I quite enjoy reading fantasy books, and am a big fan of a few Royal Road novels (shout out to Player Manager, a fantasy book in modern England involving football management games). I also happen to be one of the top ranked players of Settlers of Catan: Cities and Knights, if ratings on Colonist.io are anything to go by.
In the summers, you will likely find me in the one of the many fields of Greater Vancouver area playing cricket with the Meralomas, or hiking the slopes of Garibaldi or Joffre, or enjoying a sorbet somewhere along the beautiful sea-to-sky highway in British Columbia.
